The commercialization and use of CLINOMAX™ in certain applications may require specific registrations, authorizations, or notifications with the competent authorities in each country or region, depending on the nature of the application and the applicable local legislation. These requirements vary significantly between countries and may change over time.
Applications that typically require regulatory compliance include, but are not limited to: animal feed, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, drinking water treatment, regulated environmental applications, agriculture (fertilizers, agrochemicals), construction (concrete/cement additives subject to technical standards), and other applications subject to sanitary, environmental, or technical control.
Applications that generally do not require specific regulation may include unrestricted industrial uses, industrial absorbents, applications in unregulated production processes, among others. However, the customer is responsible for verifying whether their specific application is or is not subject to regulatory requirements in their jurisdiction.
CLINOMAX™ can be supplied in two main forms:
1. As a finished product for certain applications
When BENTONISA (or a group company) holds the required registrations, authorizations, and technical reports for the markets and uses expressly indicated.
2. As an input/ingredient or raw material
Intended for third-party formulations and finished products, in which case the client is fully responsible for:
- Assess the regulatory framework applicable to the intended application;
- Obtain all registrations, authorizations, notifications, and licenses required for the final product and the establishment;
- Ensure that labeling, communications, and use comply with applicable legislation.
Under no circumstances CLINOMAX™ be marketed or used in final applications subject to registration or authorization unless such registration or authorization exists and is valid, either in the name of BENTONISA (when acting as the registration holder and supplier of the final product) or in the name of the customer (when CLINOMAX™ is acquired as an input/ingredient).
In cases where the intended application is not subject to specific regulation, the customer may use CLINOMAX™ freely, provided such use is in conformity with good industrial practices and applicable general legislation.
The customer must not infer, from the information on this website, that any specific use is automatically authorized in their jurisdiction. It is the customer's responsibility, with the support of their technical and regulatory advisors, to confirm the suitability of the intended use and to ensure that the resulting final product is duly registered and compliant before it is placed on the market, where applicable.
BENTONISA does not supply CLINOMAX™ as a product ready for direct human consumption without prior registration with the competent health authorities (such as ANVISA, FDA, EFSA, or their equivalents in each country). In such cases, CLINOMAX™ is supplied exclusively as an industrial input, it is the customer's responsibility to develop their own formulation, obtain all necessary registrations and authorizations, and comply with all applicable safety, efficacy, labeling, and good manufacturing practice requirements for the final product.
This notice applies especially to applications in:
- Cosmetics (creams, soaps, facial masks, deodorants, etc.)
- Pharmaceutical products (medications, supplements, etc.)
- Nutraceuticals (dietary supplements, functional foods, etc.)
- Any other use involving direct contact with humans
For these applications, the client must ensure full compliance with the applicable health regulations in their jurisdiction before commercializing any final product containing CLINOMAX™.
